The primary responsibility of the Investigator is to provide highly efficient and professional investigative duties to the agency and legal staff. Duties include, but are not limited to conducting crime scene investigations after-the-fact to gather evidence and take pictures for use in court.
Gather client or witness history (i.e. criminal, medical, educational, attitude, and/or appearance) for defense attorney. Develops evidence and takes statements from witnesses in preparing cases. Evaluates and preserves evidence of investigations and reports findings. Testifies in court regarding evaluations of evidence. Serves subpoenas.
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in a criminal justice related field and two years of experience in law enforcement or as an investigator, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. An equivalency diploma issued by a state department of education may be substituted for high school graduation.
