All applications for our services shall be submitted to the Broward County Clerk of Courts. There is a $50 application fee assessed for each application filed for consideration of appointment of the Law Office of the Public Defender to represent you in a criminal matter.
ONLINE APPLICATION
The fully completed and signed applications should be emailed to the Clerk of Courts for an indigence determination
MAIL OR IN-PERSON APPLICATION
Mail or bring the completed and signed application to the Broward County Clerk of Courts, 201 S.E. 6th Street, East Building, 1st Floor, Room: 1360 Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301
IN-CUSTODY OR JAIL PROCESS
If your loved one is presently incarcerated in the Broward County Jail and is requesting our services, please contact us at 954-831-8650. We will ensure that they receive an application for our services and facilitate the submission of their application to the Clerk.
COURT ORDERED APPLICATION FEE
Direct All Payments to the Clerk of Court, not the Law Office of the Public Defender.
